Military archaeologist
Official illustrator of the Last Post Association
My name is Anne-Elysa van Vught. As a conflict archaeologist, I specialise in the First and Second World Wars and focus primarily on researching and understanding personal stories. In collaboration with organisations such as the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, The Last Post Association, Talbot House and CO7, I am deeply connected to the stories from the region.
As a professional illustrator, I have the special task of bringing these valuable stories to life, cherishing them and passing them on. It is a privilege to protect the memories of “my boys beneath the stones” and keep their stories alive forever.
